A "Guilty Pleasure" suggestion from Robert.
A great "Guilty Pleasure" submission & explanation from Tom Wilson ("Blackie & The Rodeo Kings" / "LeE HARVeY OsMOND").

Hey Al... We're just finishing up touring for the year in Michigan this week. Here's my unedited contribution to you show...
My typical asshole answer to this question is 'folk music' but I'll narrow it down for you and send you a snapshot of my lost, mis-spent youth.

It was the early 80's, I was playing in a punk/rock n Roll band The Florida Razors and living in a car and driving up and down the 401 distributing illegal goods (anything that could fit in my trunk) guns drugs etc for bikers in my neighbourhood.
I was looking mean , driving fast and eating life away as I risked everything I knew for the chance to make some good money to supplement NY habit of writing and playing music . I never slept and my home was #401.

I was a crooked golden light traveling through the dirty Southern Ontario nights.
The soundtrack to this madness I was living was on a cassette tape with a picture of a blonde on it… She watched me from my dashboard and seduced me down the long grey ribbons and through the darkness… Her name was Madonna, and the song that brings me back to her and those endless nights in 1984 was “Borderline”… I loved it, still do today.
It's honest, youthful and smart and the melody is fantastic. Even the unapologetic 80's production stands up.
That's the thing about Madonna, everything she has done has been delivered with a commitment that can't be denied or taken back.
She's got guts and so does that song.
Right from the little Christmas bell synth you know you’re gonna get the goods.
Thanks you Madonna! Thanks for being the blonde on my dashboard.
Were both a lot older now, but every time I hear “Borderline” I go back to when it was just you and me taking chances with our youth.

Great movie clip montage for classic T. Rex song "I Love To Boogie"
A "Guilty Pleasure" suggestion from Larissa
"Cry" video from Godley & Creme. Whatever happened to morphing?
The Man In Black & Miss Piggy on The Muppet Show
The voice of The Chipmunks, David Seville (aka Ross Bagdasarian, Sr.)
with "Witch Doctor", a #1 hit for him in 1958,
Suggested by Joannie. (Back To Guilty Pleasures)
Even if you don't like the song, (a Guilty Pleasure suggested by Gloria) you might enjoy the visual.
The Muppet show again! This time doing Tompall Glaser's "Put Another Log On The Fire" with Candice Bergen guesting as the poor housewife.
The original version of this "Guilty Pleasure" from The Outlaw's release "Wanted - The Outlaws" (Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter & Tompall Glaser) was suggested by Lucky. (Back To Guilty Pleasures)
This one came in a roundabout way from Jocelyn, who had two great (but VERY long) suggestions, however she also said "...pretty much any over-the-top Tom Jones ballad". OK Jocelyn, maybe not be quite a ballad, but this Randy Newman classic will never be heard quite the same way again after it was used in The Full Monty. (Back To Guilty Pleasures)
Thanks to Marilyn for suggesting the classic Victor Borge comedy piece called "Phonetic Punctuation", usually performed as a monologue.
I came across this version and thought I'd "pull rank" and play it instead. They don't make real TV like this anymore! (Back To Guilty Pleasures)
